“From the depth of need and despair, people can work together, can organize themselves to solve their own problems and fill their own needs with dignity and strength.” – Cesar Chavez
The Program Committee members will be made up of individuals from partner organizations that have current programming at The Spot. The Committee will maintain an effective collaboration model that provides a manageable referable system. It will also develop effective systems of evaluation to ensure that outcomes are met and services are meeting the needs of the youth. The key focus is the operational definition of a “wellness approach to job readiness” and “ready for the future”.

Among the Program Committee Member Agencies there are three Anchor/Lead Agencies to lead up each of the three central areas of service: Job Training and College Readiness; Arts, Culture and Heritage; and Health and Wellness. These Anchor Agencies will be responsible for working closely with the CYCI staff to ensure that their respective content area has the appropriate services and programs available to meet the needs of the youth. Anchor Agencies will also take the lead on identifying other services and programs within the central area that will help further address the comprehensive development of the youth at The Spot.
